With a performer base that's more than 50 members strong, Ova Formula counts as one of our biggest busking groups to date. The band is an independent offshoot from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Baracuda Batucadas, that counts among its numbers more than 10 generations of alumnus. Ova Formula was originally conceived as a means to perform freely and bring together the different generations during festive seasons. Through busking, old and new members of Ova Formula reunite to celebrate the treasured relationships they have built over the years.

Watching the group perform is like stepping into a Hollywood film, where family bonds are forged through a love for music. These bonds shine through in their music to produce a tightly engineered sound that resonates on an almost tribal level.

The members of Ova Formula are huge fans of the fusion genre. Each song is created from scratch by individual members, who bring their unique musical tastes to the table. This has birthed unique sounds such as Samba x Rock, as well as Samba x Bhangra. This diversity in genres has allowed them to strike a successful chord among a wide range of audiences.
