Humble and sincere, Tristan is truly a rare gem whose captivating voice ignites an indescribable fuzziness in you, warming you from your head to the very tips of your toes like hot chocolate on a cold rainy day. At 35, while Tristan may seem a little older than our fellow buskers featured here, the vocal coach cum seasoned performer remains incredibly young at heart and is always open to exploring new ways to share the joy of music – busking being one of his musical endeavours this year. Thankfully so, his adventurous outlook on life has allowed his trio’s (闲杂人等 The ETC) voice to grace our streets with the familiar and melodious tunes of both our, and our parents’ time.

The ETC pride themselves on their huge repertoire of Mandarin songs – rather uncommon among local buskers who primarily focus on English music. Be it old-timey favourites or your current chart-toppers, The ETC’s got it all under their belts to keep you entranced, enraptured, enamoured…

 

No really, people have specially diverted from their paths, crossed roads, climbed overhead bridges and even trudged through entire parks just following the irresistible sound of their performances. Well, lets just put it this way – if The ETC ever thinks of rebranding (not that they need to), we definitely think they should call themselves the Pied Piper instead.
